Trade Compliance as a Strategic Success Factor

LM PRISK at Compliance Solutions Day 2026

At this year’s Lexis Nexis Compliance Solutions Day at the Orangerie Schönbrunn in Vienna, L&M PRISK was represented in two ways: through a panel discussion on the benefits of an integrated trade compliance system and with a booth in the exhibition hall. The panel discussion, moderated by Johannes Leitner (LM PRISK) featured three experts: Jutta Höfler of Plasser & Theurer, Derik Zusann of FACC AG, and Hannes Meissner of LM PRISK. The discussion highlighted that trade compliance has evolved well beyond traditional export controls and is increasingly recognized as a strategic success factor for internationally active companies. A key finding was that modern, integrated trade compliance systems facilitate business operations through efficient processes, a definition of duties and roles, and the provision of a safe harbor for management. As Hannes Meissner highlighted, clear trade compliance rules make decisions on business cases easier, enabling companies to capitalize on opportunities that might otherwise be missed due to fear and insecurity, leading to overcompliance.

In the Exhibition Hall, Veronika Weissenhofer and Jakob Sebök explained the services L&M PRISK provides in the field of trade compliance. Solutions range from KYC screening and reporting to the development and implementation of modern trade compliance systems within companies. In addition to that, L&M PRISK supports with fact finding projects that come into play when software-based open-source checks and desk research on partners and companies reach their limits.
